GamerVoiceIf you have a Thunderbolt PCI card or onboard ports, you can still hook up the Apple Thunderbolt Display to a PC ;)
(this is my personal setup).
GamerVoiceDo you still need a special video card to drive it using the Dual Link DVI?
I have an SGI 1600SW that was also ahead of it's time when it came out. It needs to use a special adapter in order to use DVI with it though.
GamerVoiceIt needs a thing called a multilink adapter, also made by SGI specifically for that monitor. The multilink adapter also needs it's own power, so it's not so convenient.
It's needed because the monitor uses a totally different interface called OpenLDI
