The best IEM's I ever had. Crystal clear vocals and very crisp thumping bass. Edit: I bought the Hifiman RE-00's earlier this year and wasn't impressed at all, the VSD3's blew my mind for the price. Will buy again if these die

I join in on the sound part. They sound awesome!
Is one side supposed to be louder then the other? I feel like the left side of the iems are louder then the right one.

Probably just a bad connection, try moving the 3.5mm jack a bit. Or it could just be your settings, check the audio levels.
Fresh out of the box, cable and plug are not making good connections. Now the right side just doesn't sound anymore.
Nice... found same in-ears on Amazon for 25$, first time i used massdrop and i feel pranked.

Hi, I haven't received an update since the stated update date of 11/14. Please keep us in the loop, thanks.
so are these cables non detachable?

Yup
I was just about to pull the trigger on these but reading Amazon review and the comments here I think I am going to hold off. Sounds like they don't last even under light desk use.

Get the tfz series 1-4 They're decent For the price mine have been great for the price.
I bought the VSonic GR07 Bass Edition to use while drumming on stage and had to get them replaced once due to cable failure. Now the second pair also has cable failure but I love them so much I'm getting them recabled for $50. I got these VSD3's as a "cheap" set and they sound amazingly close to the GR07 BE. I also think the VSD3 has a more durable cable as I use them A LOT on the go. I highly recommend these.
I have the VSD3 in "Illuminating Green" from Amazon and for the money they sound quite good. They're replacing my second set of Bose IE2's. Both sets of Bose failed where the cable splits. The first time, they replaced them for me for $50 plus shipping (how nice), but this time, they refused to help me out, which is fine as they're a few years old now (as were the first pair).
So far, the VSD3's are really nice. I haven't had any issues, I love that the cord is longer than that of the Bose and is also more substantial.
I'm not an athlete... I'm a desk jockey. I work on a computer most of the day so these will get office use and will likely never leave said office. I'm actually kind of a sucker for the red/blue colorway and may pick some up just because they're $30 and... well, dang guys... They're $30.
If they last a year, I'm good with that. I've spent more on less (Vegas #amirite). I think they're definitely worth a go.
As a owner of the vsd2, 5 and an-16's i would suggest you would avoid these iems as the quality control and strain reliefs in vsonics cables are well below acceptable standards even for the price. I remember the sound of the 5 being phenomenal but that didn't matter much as they broke within 12 days of light use indoors at a desk. vsd2 and an-16 followed suit shortly after that as well.

I'm not affiliated to Vsonic in any way so this is coming from just-another owner: I own the VSD2S, VSD5 and the AN16 (supposed to be a special edition of the GR06). I've used them from the time they arrived to my doorstep. Not one of them broke from my in-office usage i.e., swapping one IEM per day to the next so that they all get used.
The AN16 eventually was given away to my niece and I've no news on how it's fairing. My VSD2S shell had been destroyed by my dog because I neglectfully left it within his reach but the unit is still working.
(do note I've bought these back in late 2014 or early 2015, I can't remember)

I've owned the same model that is being dropped right now, the vsd3 red&blue non-detachable. The strain relief on the earpieces, as well as the 3.5 mm jack is underwhelming. However, the audio quality is unmatched in this price range.
Well damn... I left my Beyerdynamic IEMs in my scrub pocket and they took a one-way trip to hell via a washing machine. I was looking for a new pair to replace those all black beauties, but it would seem that Vsonic has some longevity issues...
Who the heck am I kidding? I'll probably break these before they fall apart on their own. Take my money Massdrop.
I had the first version and loved them, but they had Comic Sans font on them and broke <1 year even though I took care of them. Excited to try out this revision.
This is the second revision of VSD3. The first revision came with *Chinese* MMCX connectors aka pure bullshit. Although the fault rate was hilarious, the removable cables attenuated this problem to some extent - Vsonic was able to provide replacement cable to their authorized dealers. The second revision came already with fixed cables. The Red-Blue color was 10% more expensive than the basic Black/Gray color, both for wholesale and retail. Guys, the drop value is very OK if. Trust me - I had worked with the manufacturer earlier. Only if these are supported by any kind of warranty (lol)

I had higher-end Vsonic earphones, cared a lot about them, always carrying them in a pouch. My pairs have undergone 3-4 repairs, at least, though I had the right materials and skills for fixing.

My issue was in the connector between the cable and the headphone. Not too knowledgeable about headphone repair but trying to repair where it connected (no it wasn't the detachable one) was kinda impossible because the rubber on it
I went through three pairs of these. While they were probably the best fitting IEMs I ever had, quality control on these things is atrocious. Within a month on each pair, audio started cutting out because the cable is crap. Two of my pairs were within the return window for Lend Me Ur Ears, but the third wasn't, meaning to get them fixed I had to ship them to Singapore. No thanks. Unless the quality issues with the cable have been addressed, I'd stay away, these things are garbage.

Lend Me Ur Ears Singapore via Amazon. No complaints about the seller. After my second return they admitted I was just one of many people having issues with the cables on these. They suggested waiting until the next revision came out where they would be swapping out the detachable cable for a permanent one to hopefully help. They lasted longer after the cable was changed, but only slightly, just until the return period was up. They were still under warranty, but like I said, in order to make a warranty claim they had to be sent to Singapore at my expense. Since doing that was about 1/3 the cost of the IEMs anyway, I just gave up on them.

I got the first revision at LMUE as well. Part of the earphone broke off but was still usable. Showed the owner. He gave me a replacement, no questions asked. Let me keep the original pair too...
the cable on those is rather fragile and non-exchangeable
