OkanaganguyYou would sharpen it like a regular knife, except you'd only sharpen the side without the carbides.
I would only really recommend it for light duty chores like paper or string, which will negate the need to touch up the edge for a very long time. Cutting hard or abrasive materials may cause the Ti to deform at the edge and/or the carbides to chip/tear off. Also due to the design, most Kiridashis with a kydex sheath will become a looser fit as the edge is sharpened and material is removed.
The sheath appears to be designed for carry as a neck knife or a keychain knife. You could jury-rig the sheath with paracord to attach it to a belt or have a custom sheath made.
