Or get a pok3r.
Here is one I purchased through WASD & customized with Dvorak layout keycaps.
2017 (almost 2018)
Over $100 keyboard
ABS caps
No steel plate
= Totally unacceptable. Ridiculous really. Put a steel case in it and put on PBT caps and then it will be a good deal.
nicksb
Are you sure the plate's not steel? I got one earlier this year and the plate feels cold like the case.
So is the case made out of steel or aluminum now?
jantari
Aluminum
Why anyone would choose the WASD over the cheaper and better Pok3r is beyond me. It the same exact keyboard made by Vortex with ABS instead of PBT keycaps

So I recently bought a Pok3r but it came with ABS caps, I think? Or are they just PBT with dye-sub legends? I replaced them with the Midnight Galaxy drop either way, but I'm still curious.
Chriva
And if all you are going to do is buy this and replace the keycaps straight away, you can buy this keycap-less directly from Wasd for $100.
I have one of these in MX Brown and another in MX Clear. I really like that there is a switch to put these into hardware Dorak. Few keyboards have that. :)
For this layout and price idk why people just wouldn't go with a Pok3r? I love my Pok3r! I was super surprised by how heavy my 1st one was, it has a solid metal case that makes the whole board feel hefty and high quality. I believe the WASD boards are a plastic case? But I could be wrong about that. Anyone looking at getting in on this drop but is on the fence I'd highly suggest getting a Pok3r. I also have a Saber68 which feels cheap in comparison because of the plastic case it's in, I find a lot of boards that come with plastic cases feel cheap. Even if the board is high quality, and yes I know I can replace the case, but there's something about the plastic they use for keyboard cases that feels low quality... Just my personal opinion ofc. Even though the plastic is probably good quality on my Saber68 I don't like that it's on a fixed angle and the texture and feel of the plastic they used turns me off. I'd rather have adjustable/flip out feet or nothing, and it just feels lighter and cheaper in quality comparatively to my Pok3r. Although I do like the 65% layout a lot better, keycaps are a pain though because of the non-standard R-Shift. Anyways guys and gals, Massdrop does sell Pok3r's from time to time, I didn't get mine from them because I didn't want to wait a couple months for a $5-$10 sale but if you're looking for a 60% that is high quality the Pok3r is my suggestion. Cheeers :)

looks like they have different sizes. Am I wrong?
leokassio
Sorry that must have been the angle. Case is the same between both, down to the paint. Only difference is the sticker underneath. One says Pok3r and the other says WASD.

Would totally get one if it were 87-key layout...

Hey, just wanna let you know that the code tkl drop is out now!
MajesticOceanBees
Thanks, getting one.
Not to mention the description on the WASD is wrong - there are FOUR dip switches (yup count them in the pictures) and the case is actually aluminum not steel.

thanks for flagging - we'll make the edits shortly.
Can you recommend a good source for Vortex Pok3r keycaps?

I've got a Pok3r but not a good set of caps and I don't want to break the bank for a good set. . .they don't seem to show up here sadly.
bob.corrigan
Any set is usually compatible, you're just not going to use all of them.
