When you hold one in your hand you understand and are amazed at the quality of the artwork. And that is what this is...functional art, American made, each is unique and amazing. Not massed produced by slaves labor in a third world country or popped out mass production. I have one and I LOVE it! When I consider the talent, years of experience and hours to hand carve and paint theses I think I got a bargain!

LibertybelleThere are plenty of things whose costs are much more in line with their worth, and there are plenty of American made quality goods which are actually worth the asking price. A ten dollar Zippo with what looks like stamped out leather that took someone two seconds to stitch on? $167? LMAO NO.

KnifeGuyI'm very proud to own one and feel lucky that I do. And it amazes everyone I show it to because it is amazing. You do not own one, have never handled one to appreciate the detail and quality and so are not in the position to make a judgement. I, on the other hand, am.

LibertybelleCut me a break. It's $170 for something that spends 99% of its time hidden away in your pocket.
There's also something suspect that this is a brand new account that's only commented about this lighter, which makes me think you're in some way affiliated with the person selling these things in an attempt to actually get people to buy these.

DynamiklolWasteland Oddities brought Mass Drop to my attention so I joined to see their products. When I saw the negative comments and as a satisfied customer,I felt compelled to defend their quality. If that makes me suspect - so be it. Looks like another WO customer has posted a comment too. I hope more of us find this place to post reviews of WO products so ppl can get REAL feedback

LibertybelleYou feel "lucky"? LOL Ok. You sound like a shill, or someone desperate to rationalize to themselves that they spent $170+ on a $10 Zippo.
And no, I don't own one. , and I don't need to own one in order to pass judgement on its value. I'm not spending quality-pocketknife-money on a lighter. You did, congratulations. Doesn't make it worth it.

Lu_eThose are all ugly as $%^*, sorry. Also, I'm not one of the Instagram USN "EDC crowd", where it's all a bunch of dudes posting shots of jewelry that doesn't actually go into any of their pockets. It's all a bunch of stuff they just use to arrange Instagram pics before putting them all back in whatever box they store that stuff in. Absurd.

KnifeGuyYeah. I hate it when people buy stuff and then get enjoyment out of that stuff. Why can't they just do it the way that I, personally, prefer to do it?

alexvdlYour comment comes off as a weak defense of USN/Instagram man-jewelry people who buy super expensive EDC items so they can take pictures on Instagram in order to garner attention and likes. It's a plea for attention, little more. And if that's you, that's fine. But let's not act like it's not something to be mocked, because it is.
It's the same as all those college girls who post up pics of every meal they've eaten. It's all for attention.

KnifeGuyYou showed up on this drop to complain about it. You're trying to get people to pay attention to YOU. It's all for attention.
If you don't like the USN/Instagram man-jewelry people who buy super expensive EDC items, then don't pay attention to them. Showing up to whine about how horrible they are seems ridiculous to me? Should some of us care that you don't like how other people spend their time on the internet? If you're whining that they do it for attention, and then you GIVE THEM that attention, aren't you the problem?

alexvdlA complaint about someone else's complaint...then another complaint about attention...which garners even more attention. Well, I don't think THIS complaint itself is very necessary here. Can you say, i-ron-ic?
What I most want to know is just how deep we can take jt to here, Alanis.
