I would be buying way more WE knives if they'd just slow their roll on the wacky compound grinds.
How are you supposed to sharpen these things? You'll end up rounding that second tip off in no time as you try to work out the transition from the flat to convex grind.

PigmonkeYI think the whacky grind is their style since most of them seem to have something like that going. They're all also pretty huge compared to anything I use regularly :(

PigmonkeYI found sharpening wasn't the worst on my 616 since it does actually have a micro bevel and you don't have to do the whole thing. What I decided to do instead of sharpening the micro bevel was get my clamp sharpener at the exact angle of the grind and sharpen it flat. That big ol bevel looks pretty sick with a mirror finish.

PigmonkeYTo be clear though, what I did is a dipshit move since my 616 is m390. It took me about an hour to get it even on both sides, 15 minutes to go up in grits and then another hour stropping in front of Orange Is the New Black

PigmonkeYAs long as you strop to orange is the new black, you're good. Otherwise it won't come out right.
