Is it just me or does $99 sound like too much for a China-produced knife; even with D2 steel... that's Spyderco/Benchmade territory in my mind.

ScottDJust you. If you'd held a WE knives knife you'd realize that Chinese made knives can be just as good as any other knife with comparable standards. Or if you understood why and how they had built such a good reputation so quickly. The USA has shit knife makers too, don't see you claiming they're all shit.

ScottDWE Knifes is a prime example of the fact that not everything "made in China" is bad quality. AFAIK they have their own facility in China, with high end machining equipment, and all employees are well trained and well payed. A knife of this design/quality would cost atleast $250 if it was made in the US.

GoKartMozartI went with the Crux because, while I love the design of this one, it is way too big for general use. If this came in at a 3.5" blade, I would've picked it up the last time it dropped without a second thought.

I would be buying way more WE knives if they'd just slow their roll on the wacky compound grinds.
How are you supposed to sharpen these things? You'll end up rounding that second tip off in no time as you try to work out the transition from the flat to convex grind.

Love the blade geometry and looks of this knife, but 9" overall length with a 4" blade is pretty huge for an EDC knife.

CyphreWith a 4" folder the shortest it could possibly be is twice the blade length and a little more, so about 8.25". I don't know how much that extra .75 will bother me in my pocket and I really like the look of it.
