drizzyI would love to be able to pick stuff up when it is a few blocks away, like all the Ashland Leather drops. I do almost every one, then they ship it to New Jersey only to ship it right back to Chicago. It is obviously a Saudi conspiracy to sell more fuel.

SkipPeAt the same time, the vendors has less logistics to take care of when Massdrop is buying in bulk from them. The Massdrop distribution center is only a state away from me so actually better for me for the vendor to ship to Massdrop first.

Where are these boxes made?
This is critical information for determining the cost of the item once shipped to Canada with duty charged. Current Amazon.ca price is $72.20 CDN, free shipping, free returns.

tguy@tguy: This box is made in China. I bought this exact same box at Amazon.ca 6 months ago and I paid $64.25 CDN. Massdrop price of $49.99 + $23.25 shipping to Canada totals $73.24US equivalent to approximately $93 CDN. In top of that you should have to pay GST, provincial sales tax, duties and brokers fee for a grand total way over $100 CDN. It does not worth it. The problem is the very high shipping fee to Canada that add 46% to the cost of the item. At least at Amazon.ca it is being shipped for free in Canada.

Quality watch boxes cost so much. I joined this drop because I am not ready to drop $500 yet. I have seen some great watch boxes, but none were under $200, and large ones like this cost more. There needs to be some expectation of what you are buying. I love my Orient pilot watch, but I would never compare it to a Sinn.

SkipPedude, just go to email and get a used wolf box from a higher end line. i just bought a viceroy 2.7 winder with storage for 200 bucks. it's 500 new. there are sellers offering great deals.

Are the pillows 'squeezable' for watches with metal bracelet? I don't want the pillow to be too tight. (Not to put to much 'tension' on the spring bars) Thank you

JnckyThe pillows can squeeze a little bit, but it isn't an unstructured pillow. The side panels have a hard cardboard insert so the pillow won't collapse completely like a Seiko pillow would. If your bracelet is much smaller than 6.75 inches, it would be difficult to fit it on the pillow while closed.

Re: international shipping costs-
I wish it was cheaper (and I will double check everything), but the unfortunate truth is that shipping heavy things internationally is expensive. We try to be a bit more upfront with our costs by using accurate shipping costs, rather than making shipping low but raising the price of the product.
