I joined the two previous drops for Wolf. The last one was for the Roadster, which I bought three and love it. This model appears to be identical to the Roadster, with the exception of the wood like trim. Why the significant price difference? I bought the Raodster for $129. Why such an increase for what appears feature for feature the same?

Can someone (who owns more than 10 watches) explain how you keep track of which turn direction each watch requires on a daily basis. Seems to me you could simply choose bi-directional for all watches to make it easier, since that's the natural motion of the watch while on your arm. Does a uni-directional watch "unwind" if rotated in the wrong direction? So many questions.

Soooo my unit came damaged on the wind ring and so I contacted Drop who basically said "you have a warranty, contact Wolf". I did that and according to Wolf the unit is over two years old. So either Drop is sending out old/used units and/or I was just supremely unlucky and it was just me. I would highly advise everyone that received a unit from Drop to make sure that they received a new unit by contacting Wolf and confirming your serial number. Drop was included in the email chain this morning and has yet to respond. Great first experience so far...

My guess is that you will hear from MD CS again and they will make it right. It might take a week or so, but verified stories of MD not doing the right thing are basically non existent. They may be slow, but they've alway been good about making things good--especially "received damaged" or "Not as presented/advertised."

I am in Europe, this is a European product, will it be shipped from Europe or from the USA? If shipped from the USA it will add about 40% to the price for import duties, taxes and handling

DaiBachAlmost as bad to ship to Canada... shipping adds almost 25% to the cost and, depending on who they use for delivery (if DHL), it will likely add another 20-30%. 👎

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a benefit, besides having to reset, to keeping a watch on a winder? Does it increase accuracy or lifespan?

"Winders damage watches." False. So you're saying if you wear your watch daily (Human watch winder) then you're damaging your watch?
"Any watch maker would tell you that." Maybe some will tell you that, but others will say it won't hurt and will be your choice to do so.

BeachsideThe only practical reason is if you have a perpetual calendar. Setting those can be quite the pain in the arse, so you want to keep it running. Anything less than that, say an annual calendar or a moonphase, can be slightly annoying to reset depending on the watch but is usually pretty simple.
Some people like them for style or display purposes.
As far as damage, most manufacturers provide specs on the number of rations per hour/day to prevent constant over winding, which can theoretically damage some older watches. Most modern automatic movements are constructed in such a way that’s incredibly difficult to ever damage them in such a manner.
Hands down the the funniest thing I’ve ever seen was a YouTube watch reviewer who had an omega speedmaster on a winder. It’s a manual wind watch.

Can you guys share your experience with WOLF customer service? I've enquired about Viceroy Winder months ago and haven't received any response. I'm seeing this to be a trend judging from other comments here.
Do you have positive/negative experience? Would you recommend their support service?

draynI had a Wolf Windsor Single Winder that stopped working after a few years. It was out of warranty. I offered to pay for replacement parts but they declined. They said since it was out of warranty, the only thing they could do was offer a 30 percent discount on the purchase of a new unit from their site. That's far more expensive for me versus potentially fixing it. I got the feeling they don't build or repair anything in the US - the best they can do is replace an entire unit when they choose to.
