Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. I've never owned a lossy-capable DAP before, any tips or general suggestions to get the most out of it?
Some Suggestions: Philips SHP-9500S (Open Backed, Cheap, Comfy) Audio Technica ATH-M40x (Closed Back, Relatively cheap, benefits from a pad swap) Massdrop x Hifiman HE 4XX (Open Back, Planar Magnetic driver type, comfy and really fun sound) Massdrop x Pinnacle PX IEMs (In-ear monitors, MMCX replaceable cables, plenty of ear tips, great price)
I hope you have some good luck. Audio quality is something that scales the better the parts of the pipeline become.
I'll check out the models you've listed and see what I can eventually buy towards. I'm pretty excited to listen to familiar favorites in a higher quality.
Also, I've founding watching headphone/equipment reviews from the likes of Z Reviews, and DMS3 TV, Inner Fidelity, and Steve Guttenburg, (all on Youtube) helpful with choosing/upgrading/enjoying my audio gear.
