Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Unplug power and let it run on battery, works fine on both side, playing it for a while no issue. Plug it in for recharging while playing some music, started to having some weird issue.
Conclusion: 1. PC setting problems. Where i got no way to figure out. Get a Schiit stack instead for desktop amp. 2. When the battery is full, plug in both power and usb-in can cause issues.
My Advice: It can be use for portable DAC/AMP, not desktop DAC/AMP due to complicated setup to run on desktop and weird hardware behavior on desktop.
When the E17k is on it has a blue LED, whereas it lights red-blue while charging, and ceases charging when the battery is fully charged. When stationary, I use my phone with an OTG cable to a Signstek HIFI USB to the FiiO's COAX-in.
Additional Hardware: 1) Signstek HIFI USB to Coaxial S/PDIF Converter Decoder : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FEDHHKE/ -- No drivers required with Windows 10 (USB Audio out) to the Signstek.
2) OTG USB 2.0 Y cable : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V81L9M8/
EXTRA NOTE: If you get static through your headphones or speakers when powering Audio devices via USB (hub, power bars, etc), then switch to a standalone phone USB port/outlet, which appears to filter the line and removes the static.
Whereas my experience with XDuoo is crap crap crap. The XQ-10 isn't worth 10 bucks - the most expensive part of the XQ-10 is probably the aluminum case.
