BTW, looks like Fry's has this same amp listed, refurbed, for only $201.07! Not sure about the shipping though, so it's likely a wash. Just saying, if you miss it here (or if it's gonna take months to ship), then you can grab it there within a few days
What's the quality like on this thing? I really need to pick up a new A/V receiver. I'm tired of running SPDIF out to my crappy receiver.
I will do some research when able, but I'm wondering if anybody has experience with this model and can tell me how they like it?
Any limitations off-hand? The big reason for me to upgrade is so I can start watching movies off my work laptop. It can push 4k no problem, but my ps4 pro stumbles when I try to feed it DTS-HDMA etc...not that I *need* that audio, it's just, the 4k files I am playing tend to have the highest quality audio available, and it just won't work on a lot of things.
I figured instead of spending ~$5-700 on the newest sony or denon, I could give this a try at a discount. Hopefully the feature set is close?
That was one of the receivers I was thinking about. I'm having trouble between the Sony STR-1080 or whatever, and the denon x1400h.
I will have to do a little more reading soon!
SeelenThe sony str-1080 is awesome if you're okay with the power. It has no pre-outs so you can't upgrade the amp for your speakers. If you can get a good deal grab it.
Can a turntable be connected and records be played/recorded??

silverspurr59Looks like this model doesn’t have a phono input, so for your turntable to work, the turntable would have to have a pre-amp built into it, or you’d need a separate phono amp.
