Two questions: First, is this tripod / monopod mountable I'm thinking for boom type shots? Second, does the camera have a fan that might be audible?

MikedelIt is not a tripod, just a grip for one to hold the camera. The 1080p does not make a single noise. And through the settings one can dissable the mic.
