Misleading title, this is NOT a USB-C Powerbank, it has just one modern Type C socket and 4 x old-fashioned Type A sockets. I want a power bank that is all Type C

robfolKeep looking then. But I don’t think Type-C ONLY power banks exist yet. Hardly misleading when what you assumed probably doesn’t even exist yet. 🙄

Just got mine! Always sweet to get an early drop reward. Haven't used it yet, but this thing is beefy.

I just returned a $120 knife I was not pleased with. Got a prepaid shipping label and off it went. Probably a week from the time I first submitted my issue via my Transactions page. About 10 days later got my refund. So I know the process works.

Well, I've had mine for little over a week and it no longer charges from a USB-C PD source. It initially did, but no more. It takes a very long time to charge now, but it can charge other devices through USB-C PD.
I sent an email to Zendure support so let's see how that goes, but that's a definite disappointment.

silverthornneYeah, while it is working great to power my MacBook Pro, it’s real finicky about recharging from various Type-C adapters. I specifically got rid of the 15w and 39w bricks I had and got a new 45w one just for this power bank. But even then, it may charge for a while, then stop. If I switch it to my 85w Apple brick it charges fine. But it’s finicky with lower wattage adapters. I really like this device, but the recharging issues are quite annoying. 🤨

glennacI have recently discovered that on newer Zendure Type-C power banks, clicking & holding the power banks' power button will switch the direction that the C-Port works in. I'll have to try that later when I get home with this model and see if that is the issue. Is that the case Zendure? 🤔

Is there international shipping option?
glennac

BennyRoNo. Probably because, unless you are the manufacturer and are shipping mass quantities, it's a pain in the backside to ship a handful of lithium batteries overseas. The regulations, documentation, and special packing that it requires is a headache for 3rd-party sellers.

Does this work with Huawei fast charging?

Hi all,
I've had a very similar discussion about charging over on another product. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/sony-mdr100-wireless-noise-canceling-headphones/talk/1778144
The jest of it is the end device (like your phone) will take as much amperage as it can safely do so.
Apparently this power bank can provide 30W through the USB-C port. One thing that has frustrated me a lot with power banks is that they will only have this sort of delivery to multiple devices, but never a single device. Always read the fine print guys.
I also have a Huawei phone, (P10 plus) which can charge with 22.5W using 5V @ 5A. The spec sheet and advertisements have all been very clear. This power bank can provide 30W through its USB-C port. With the (very reasonable and fair) assumption that they are following the USB standards correctly, this also means that you can charge a single device with up to 30W. They use the 12" MacBook as their example of this capability.
There is the possibility that to obtain the 30W they have to step up the voltage to greater than 5V, and that it cannot charge devices with 5V and a high current of 4.5A . This would however go against the assumption I mentioned above about following USB standards correctly.

Already received mine, note to everyone they may arrive Via Amazon shipping box, from Zendure. In my case it sat 3 or 4 days on chair inside my house cause my wife gets 99+% Amazon boxes so I did not realize what it was at first :p I will update how well they do. I bought 3, and shipment was due to ship Nov 7th, so mine arrived at least on 10/30 or 10/31 so they were early.

PlasmaburndeathHow was it? Also, do you have to charge this via USB-C?

wwernerHi: sorry for delay in reply, I bought 3 of these and I just started having problems with one of them. I don't have a PD wall charger yet, so only have highspeed charging 2.4 amp usb options to charge the Zendure back up, and if I use up the battery and need to charge it, so far they take around a week to charge... First the Problem: one of the batteries just started a failure state, where it is charged but no longer turns on with button nor if usb cable is plugged in for it to charge (my phone for example) If I plug the Zendure into wall usb it turns on but does a strange behavior it displays a '88' and then number cycles to a number like 5, then back to '88' and then displays number 10, back to '88', and then displays number 15... and I can't figure out how to recover from this fault. (Just started 2 days ago) I have only used each battery a few times so not sure what happened with this one. I need to check if I need to contact Massdrop or Zendure directly for resolution. I'm sure being technology it is just random bad luck. The Zendure battery bricks don't appear to have any serial number on them, so I can't report what series mine is- if there is a fault on a run or whatnot. Now the Good- one of the other Zendure packs already saved my wife a month ago when she forgot her laptop charger at work, the usb C output kept her laptop going for the few hours she needed until we found alternate charger.

Mine arrived and we have had a chance to use it over the last two nights. Working fine - except - Is the bright LED suppose to stay lit the whole time the device is being used?
Kind of annoying when it is beside you on a nightstand while you’re trying to sleep. 🤔 All other Power banks I have turn off any display after a short period of time. Not this one it seems. 🤨

glennacThat light is the worst thing ever while the power bank itself is being charged!
BTW, the included cable already died on mine. I'm using an Anker cable with it.

How does the charge through work? Usually charging and using a battery is very bad.

qpchI imagine it's the same as a laptop connected to the Mains. All power coming in goes to powering the devices connected. Any remaining power goes toward trickle-charging the power bank cells.

Even cheaper than the Kickstarter early bird pledge, while I'm one of the backer and so sad for me

l2whoBear in mind that the Kickstarter one is 100w PD (newer model). This one is 30w PD. Unless you need a bunch of juice to power a laptop (or two), the 100w is kind of overkill when simply charging a few cell phones. This one here is plenty for average use and cheaper too.
