How does this tent handle rain and soaking rain at that. Down here in Florida we get soaking rains but normally they don't last too long.

CaptainKangarooAll depends on how you weather to rain fly. (Like what kind of water resistant sprays you apply to the fly)
*Speaking from experience, with a different tent.

glocenspielHmmm ok thanks. Well I don't want to be showered in a chemical slurry from the rain washing the spray all over me. I'm sure once it dries it's not too bad. I thought these fabrics were waterproof.

glocenspielThere's no rain fly, it's a single wall tent. But, I would waterproof it for sure, which will add some weight...

glocenspielAgree with you on this. You will need to weatherproof this tent. Out of the box it isn't great for wet climates. You have to think of this as like a tarp tent more than a regular tent. You will be much more exposed to grumpy weather so you will need to prep the tent beforehand. Tape and waterproof sprays.

CaptainKangarooThis tent does not deal with condensation well at all, and I suspect won't do well inFlorida's humid climate. I used in the rain for a 2 day trip and while it kept the rain out fine, the condensation made it unbearable.

glocenspielOk cool thank you. I just worry about the chemicals used in such products. Would prefer like a more natural wax type spray. Not sure if this is available however. I did buy a tent through massdrop it does have a rainfly, been fortunate enough not to get caught in the rain yet.
