I have a set of ZMF Master model V1 that I got about a month ago. I am thoroughly enjoying them and considering getting a second set in this drop to use as portables. They sound great and provide good isolation from environmental noise. They even work well even when being driven by my Sansa Fuze or LG G-Tab 8.3. Even though they won't play LOUD with these low power sources they are loud enough that I have to turn them down a bit with almost all music.
For those who have concerns about the leather strap, I find it to be very comfortable and see no reason to get the Pilot Pad unless you are concerned about the aesthetics.
To those who are asking for the Mad Dogs, just get the ZMF version 2 which I expect to have a very similar sound signature but I have a very hard time seeing how the Mad Dogs could be better.
For the price, I think that the ZMFs are incredible. I do need to take them to the local Audeze retailer for comparison with headphones that cost five or six times as much. I suspect that they are not too far off but do expect the LCD-XC to be a bit better. As is, I am very happy with my ZMFs and do not feel any compulsion to upgrade at this time.
