BlueCrownedFor sure! For me it comes down to what we want to support as a community. If You want to get the ZOMO cap, great! But also cool to acknowledge its origins and context.
BlueCrownedHis comment is definitely regarding design, not material. Hand made resin caps vs. mass produced aluminum caps. I appreciate how he didn't just slam the drop, he was simply pointing out that you should be aware of what you are buying and decide for yourself if this is something you want to willingly support.
BlueCrownedThat's awesome and thanks for the level headed reply! It's really not about buy/not buy, but giving credit where credit is due - part of what makes this community great is how much new stuff we keep making / creating and just being mindful of how to create an environment where we can keep that spirit. Everything's a remix but we gotta know our roots!
tokyocoffeenerdI have just started reading this discussion, as I am / was interested in this buy. I love my cat. What more can I say to explain why I am here?
Is it POSSIBLE to buy one of the "originals" ? Anywhere? I would gladly buy one (or more) of the originals, if they can be purchased - anywhere. I have attempted to follow all the links, but it appears as though the company was having a raffle (8 months ago?). People had to enter, to hopefully WIN a chance to BUY one of their little gems.
I missed that raffle, as I didn't know it existed. What are my chances of finding a kitty key pad, to purchase? If the original is not available, how shameful is it to buy a "copy"? My cat would never know it wasn't an original. Yes, I would rather buy an original... but if not possible... it would be a secret between my cat and me.
know what you buy. https://www.keychatter.com/2015/10/14/artisan-series-interview-with-kudos-and-koala-t-keykollectiv
