There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. I use Shun kitchen knives, which are pretty pricey. But they have held up for over 10 years now, without much maintenance. - If you are just getting started in kitchen knives, I recommend starting with the Victorinox Fibrox which is currently around $45 on Amazon.
I've bought a lot of kitchen appliances over the years. - KitchenAid Stand Mixer, lols buy one, last forever, mine is nearly as old as my 25 YO daughter - small countertop electric grill for salmon, burgers and sandwiches - electronic pressure cooker - blender - convection toaster oven for toast, pizza, baking, warming dishes, etc Looking to buy new counter top oven and deep fryer
I use a flat bottom Nordic ware wok which has lasted forever, But always on the look out for a better made one. I would love to find a well designed stir fry spatula, non metal.
My end game bakeware is made by Calphalon. Buy a piece and last forever.
For cookware, I get whatever is on sale at big box store. I hardly ever used fry pans and pots.
