The Code Keyboard. Types well and looks beautiful, and maybe I just had -really- bad luck with the keycaps, but their finish wore off way too quickly and allowed the white light to shine through. If only they were doubleshot Helvetica...

jaesondLuckily, doubleshot shinethrough keycaps are fairly cheap. Have you looked into that or is the problem worse than it sounds?

VarholiaglimpTrue; however, while doubleshot shinethroughs are around, one of the big draws to the keyboard for me were the keycaps on it, specifically the design and typeface used. If those were remade in a doubleshot form I'd pick them up in a heartbeat, and the Code would shoot up my list of favorite keyboards.
What I still don't understand on the Code is the spacebar. It's the same as any other key, transparent with the black finish on it. There's nothing for light to shine through on it, and because of that I will still never understand why they didn't just go with a solid spacebar.

jaesondWASD does offer PBT keycaps with shinethrough legends. Trouble is, they're really just Vortex keycaps, which you can buy more cheaply on Massdrop, so you're not getting the font on the original set. What do you think?:

VarholiaglimpMaybe at some point, although to me that gets rid of one of the shining points of the Code. It's a 'good' mechanical keyboard, but nothing about it sticks out to me other than the sheer utility of it. Compare to, say, RGB lighting or custom keycaps.
Not saying utility is a bad thing at all, though! I just wish I could snag replacement caps for the Code, is all.
