Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

At The Office — Modded Fostex T50RP (MK3)
Overall — Bose QuietComfort 35 The HE-560 is just too open for most situations, but personally they've had my favorite sound signature, and they receive the most praise from those I've had try them besides an HD 6XX + Bottlehead Crack combo. I really like HD 6XX with the Bottlehead Crack, but the HE-560 is more versatile in terms of what types of music are very satisfying through them. I really dig the planar bass on them. The Fostex are great at the office, they're closed enough that I don't bother colleagues, but the comfort of Shure Alcantara pads and the sound signature after modding is great. Can wear them for ages without the sound or comfort being fatiguing. If I was forced to pick just one though, I'd probably go for the QC35. They're far more versatile in terms of practical day-to-day usage than the other two I've mentioned. The option to use Bluetooth or a wired connection, battery life, comfort, simplicity (no need for an amp), and noise cancelling (especially on planes) are big pluses for them. The sound signature is good too, though I'd certainly favor the other two choices above in that department. For context, these are the ones I own • Audeze LCD-3 (Fazor) • Audeze Mobius • Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 ohm • Bose QuietComfort 35 • DUNU DN1000 • Fostex T50RP - Modded myself with Mayflower Electronics mod kit • HIFIMAN HE-4XX • HIFIMAN HE-560 • Samsung (AKG) EO-IG955BSEGUS • Sennheiser HD 6XX Also tried some others like the Fostex TR-X00 and the Master & Dynamic MH40 which were enjoyable to listen to as well. I could see using both of those in the office. Given how much I've liked the HE-560 I decided to hop on the drop for the HIFIMAN Edition XX, so looking forward to those as well.
