What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

[old text] Could one make multiple entries with different ideas? I have a layout I like but it works and looks good in multiple colour combinations, so I think it would be best to send in all the variations lest the single version of it is not one liked by people.
Choice is king. [/old text]
That said I will put the others here just as an example.
They are named "Borderline".
The design philosophy was for when I was learning to touch type (still an on going but almost complete process). I had bought blanks to force myself to not be able to see the keys and learn the positions but still at times looked down at the physical layout to help me a little. In all white it was hard to tell sometimes which keys belonged to what grouping. So I teamed it up with some dark grey and dyed the others yellow (Hyperion 1 was my first run at this layout) breaking the parts of the board into coloured blocks that fulfilled the visual help aspect and also looked quite nice while doing it. I made up a second set for my CPSQ in the purple white and black that has been submitted here.
So half and half form and function. It remains my favourite layout and so far unique as far as I have seen in the community in its goals and style. I hope some of you like it.
The full one I submitted based on the board I am using right now made from blank dyed PBT
Borderline HP1 TKL (I also have these from dyed PBT)
