Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I am not sure I understand the difference between AD2P SRC and SNK, but I did notice that the Echo has an 3.5mm audio out jack. Would it not be possible to connect that to a DAC/AMP? The setup I'm currently looking at from Monoprice does support Bluetooth, however.
1) Use the 3.5mm aux out to powered monitors 2) Use the bluetooth connection to a dongle or bluetooth capable stereo receiver with passive speakers (can also use the 3.5mm aux out via patch cable) 3) Use the bluetooth connection directly to a set of powered monitors that accept bluetooth
If the Dot will be your only source then I would go with #1, if you have other things to connect I would go with #2. If you hate wires and have other bluetooth sources I would go #3
