Great response so far, I am keeping a close eye on this conversation. I ride a 2012 Masi Evoluzione that I've built up with SRAM Rival components and I wish I could have done that shopping here!
Much of what's been mentioned in terms of products would fall into the Accessories category, generally. I am curious to know if members would be interested in...
* Components; Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, etc. What if we could only do this in complete sets, like Drivetrain Bundle or Brakes Bundle? * Frames; anyone want to build a bike, or more interested in complete setups? * Expendables; when you need a chain or a tire (or tyre, for some of you) would you buy them from us ahead of time knowing there is a wait, or do you just grab those locally because OMG FINALLY SUNSHINE GOTTA RIDE RIGHT NOW! <-- that's what is happening in CA right now

JonasHeinemanI'd be interested in all of the above. Particularly expendables and components because I always prefer to have spares around so when "OMG GOTTA RIDE" happens I'm always ready. I'm not concerned with wait times on those items and they're always in demand.
Frames, I'm a little less interested in because I'm picky about fit and ordering from the internet would probably be trouble, however there's a lot more to a bike than the frame. There's forks, stems, saddles, headsets, posts, rims, etc. to consider as well. Those I'd be less hesitant to order online and I think fit in that category. Obviously there's plenty of things to love about complete bikes for people trying to get into the hobby in particular.

HeeftyThanks, that's really helpful. Maybe we can find or create a resource for sizing...

JonasHeinemanEven though I made the post I consider myself an amateur cyclist. So for me the basics work, yes I'd get tires, tubes, brake pads, a kit perhaps with multiple expendables, just to be safe. I'd be surprised if some day there is a drop for a full bike, but until then maintenance products seem like a good way to start.

JonasHeinemanYes to all of this! Your comment was 44weeks ago, has there been progress on bike "stuff" since then? Specifically MTB for me please and none of that roadie junk ;)

LimeGreenYetiI've seen 2-3 bike items drop since this conversation. I joined a drop for some gloves last week. I bought a lock a good while back too. A few of them have been happening. Not sure if they're getting good results on the drops or not though.

HeeftyI'll definitely check for them. It would be cool if they sold enough to have it's own community.
