Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. Beyerdynamic dt770 (closed) Grado SR series something like the sr80e (open) Fidelio X2 (Open) Fostex tr-80 (Closed) Hifiman HE400 series (open)
I own most of them headphones and out of them I would say the grado for the price are really good for rock but check reviews out for these and see what suits you best.
And I've been reading up review on the fostex tr-80, some a few number mebtioned that the bass is not good.
And by the way, what does it mean by easy to drive?
What I mean by easy to drive is that it will play loudly out of a phone or portable device important if you are not using an amp. You want headphones with low ohms and sensitivity can be as important so keep an eye out for them specs.
If all that sounds like gobbledigook then I can only apologise lol
Keeps us posted with how you get on buddy.
The hd8 confirm has better sound but the grip is too string. But based on the price, which in your preference is more worth it?
Ask yourself a few questions:
Which has better sound Which has better comfort Which has better build quality If you don't have a clear winner then ask yourself what is the price to performance value.
That last question is probably the most important and is for you alone to decide. It's your cash and you have to be happy with what you spent it on.
