For the past couple years I've been using a Sun type 3 keyboard (circa 1984) that I've modded to be USB. http://daveastels.typed.com/blog/sun-type-3-keyboard

TheSkeletonSee the link to my blog post. TL;DR I used a Teensy2++ to talk to the serial keyboard controller, and present a USB HID keyboard to the host. I added SunType3 layout support to the tmk_keyboard firmware (which has since been incorporated into the main repo). The teensy is, well, teensy and easily fit into the keyboard case.

TheSkeletonThis has been my all time favourite keyboard since I had a Sun 3 workstation during my grad school days. I paid ~$25 USD each on eBay.
