Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. From what I've read in other posts (since this appears to be quite a popular topic), the 6XXs are better for music while the K7XXs are better for gaming, but I was wondering if anything would be different for the specific games I play. Also, does either have better positional audio, or are they about the same?
It seems the 6XXs have the upper hand in built quality and comfort (and in my opinion, aesthetic), so deep down I'm kinda hoping they're just as good or better.
P.S. If anyone could suggest a realitively cheap DAC and/or an AMP or a DAC/AMP combo to match the cans that would be great (thoughts on Schiit Fulla 2?).
EDIT: The "SMSL M3 USB DAC/Amp" and the "SMSL Q5 Pro DAC/Amp" were just released on Massdrop for under 100$. Would those be any good?
