Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

We have seen just about every iteration of headphones/earphones in a collab except portable cans, unless I'm missing something. The Fostex series, IEMs like the Pinnacle and MD, open back HD6XX and AKG 7XX, gaming headphones PC37X...
I keep wondering about and hoping for an over ear portable closed back. Sennheiser has the capability to do something like this!
Had a chance to pick up a pair at a crazy good price, and I've been really impressed.
I generally prefer open backs, but there are definitely times I've sat among my thousands of dollars worth of equipment listening to my HD1s directly from my phone.
On top of that, they just look cool. I am surprised they don't seem to get the love other cans do, so I'm wondering what I'm missing.
I've hesitated to buy the HD1, only because I already have too many headphones and IEMs and the OG momentums still work perfectly (minus the Apple device only cable). I'm glad they improved the ear cups. The original momentums used to be on Tyll's wall of Fame but I think they got knocked off by the NAD viso.
I actually liked the HD1 over ear so much that I picked up the wireless on ears as well when I saw a great deal. I was surprised by how different the tuning of the on ear was - very bass oriented, but still tight and clear. Really unique among my (too many) headphones. Like Beats sophisticated older brother that actually graduated and got a real job. :)
The only down side was it did take a lot of patience to get the fit broken in, unlike the over ears. They were like a vise out of the box. But after a week or so of stretching, they got much better..
