Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I also have modded Fostex T50RPs – the Dekoni Blue – I’m borrowing a pair of TH 900, I have Sennheiser GAME ZERO and PX480, Creative Aurvana Live 2, and a bunch of Closed back IEMs. I kickstarted the Audeze Mobius, which I quite liked when I got to demo them at a recent PGH audio meet (thanks @AlwaysForward !), but what I really want (and it will be awhile before I can afford it) is the Sennheiser HD 820. I also liked my demo of the Beyerdynamic T51p for an on-the-go headphone, but it’s been quite a while since I heard one and I don’t know if it would still be to my taste.
I actually think if I were building up a DJ rig from scratch, I would probably go with IEMs for the monitor 'phones.
