Ender12I like the subtle variations on the lock side better, personally :)
What caused that? Did you sponge or bath? Batteries or power supply?

KavikI wanted a matte scale to offset the polished one. I etched it in whink. Then I anodized it with 3 9 volt batteries. Then I lightly sanded some purple off and dropped the voltage down to 2 batteries and filled in the sanded parts. Turned out great.

Ender12I can't decide what side I like better the polished side or the sonewashed'ish lock bar side. Really nice work. Did you sand the handles before anodizing? If so what grit did you end with?

Gunnersmate2The shiny side was sanded like crazy. Started at 100 and worked my way up to 2k. This is how it looked before ano.

Ender12I just recently picked up a Spyderco Mantra with titanium handles and I'm thinking of anodizing it. I think I'm going to bead blast it then etch then anodize it to see if I can get a matte finish
