is this still going on?
Are we getting an update on this?
That has been my experience too. Sure, they are much nicer than what you can find at Office Max/Depot/whatever, but I have found the leap to be much more comfortable. I've never sat in an Embody, would like to try it, though!
I've wanted an Aeron for years, but you'll find it was more about interesting design. Embody is the better choice for support. Embody has my vote!
Have a feeling if Aeron goes through that it will disappoint a lot of people.
This is pretty cool. I hope the chairs that end up coming have some options. I'd prefer the leap, but no complaints about an Aeron at all. The Gesture from Steelcase looks great too, Chris!
I know a Herman Miller distributor, if the mass drop guys are looking for a possible connection.
I've been in the market for an Aeron for a while! I've been hesitant because of the price. Work your magic!
I have an Aeron myself and it's been amazing, 5 years and still going strong. The only problem is the hard lip digging into the back of your leg if you sit too far forward. I've tried the Embody as well. I think it was more comfortable and is simpler in a good way (the Aeron requries a lot of adjustments to get things right). Most of the chairs listed on the poll are better than the vast majority of "Staples" chairs and are a great investment if you spend a long time sitting.
I just bought an Embody. If this nets a deal for it I'm going to be sad.
The Steelcase Gesture is coming out in the fall. Not sure if that will be too late to have a chair group buy. http://www.steelcase.com/en/products/category/seating/task/gesture/pages/overview.aspx I have the Leap and it doesn't disappoint. The gesture looks like it has most of the Leaps features with improved armrests.
The aeron chair is amazing, and with enough people, it could come down from the normal amazon price!!!!
