Yup. Me too on black. Insane that I'm here because of an email that contained actual prototypes of these cases in black, yet that's not an option for voting... Why not offer this in the most standard universal color?
I brought your feedback to MP, and we will be able to offer the all-black "Stealth" version, pretty much exactly like our prototypes. I'm not going to add it as another option for this poll, but it will be offered in the drop. So this poll is just for the other color options. Hope this helps!
Just to be clear, only the original color options are available for this drop. The prototypes in Black are not going to be offered, but we can consider it for a future drop. Any options outside of the original 7 have been deleted.

Picked Black and Gray and was bemused that those were the most popular choices thus far. Who would have thunk people who like to buy boutique writing implements and accessories would share some similarities! :)
There are lots of pen cases available. If you haven't checked yet - JetPens has some pencil cases, which work okay as long as you have cheap pens. There are also LOTS of rolls available out there. It kinda depends on your need, but a pen case like this ins't new. Hopefully will be cheaper than the alternatives out there.
When I saw this one, I realized my pencil case is far too big for EDC. I normally carry a couple of pens (nothing worth more than $20), a ruler and a financial calculator. After seeing Massdrop is in the process of getting one, I see myself in the market to upgrade.
I really hope you get some community input when it comes to the construction of the case, not just the color.
The concern about the internal material is one thing I mentioned earlier. Another thing I'm noticing here. It's really important to take in account very large pens (e.g. TWSBI, Visconti Homo Sapien, etc) when creating these. The clips need to stagger, so they don't hit each other (which, it mostly looks like you have that down). Also is there any padding on the outside-ish of the case? One nice thing about the Pilot rolls (which I linked in the previous discussion about this) is that it gives some feeling of padding on the pens. When you have $1,000 pens, and all in a roll with a starting price of about $250 on up, padding is pretty important. You may find it actually good to create a few prototypes, send them to members who have larger ink collections and get some feedback before you go too far.

As you may know, Manhattan Portage wants to create pen cases out of their signature 100D Cordura nylon, but it'll be up to you which colors are chosen for each of two styles: Clamshell and Half-Zip.
Here you can vote on your favorite colors for the Clamshell style. The colors with the most votes will be selected for the drop, which will start later this month and be manufactured to order. You can vote for the Half-Zip colors here:
