Well, in person the "Midnight blue" is so dark you can't actually distinguish the color from the black unless you're shining a white light directly on it. Here's mine, under the room light and the lamp on my desk. I don't usually see it unless sunlight is on it.

At least I'm seeing it... I actually quite like these renders! When Axel popped the entire silver piece off my HD 800 at breakfast before CanJam last year, I was shocked (My babies!!) but also realized that it's actually a great platform for modding and colorizing.
I actually really like the black gold color, nice pop of copper color contrast... I'm kinda sad it was the least popular vote haha.
