The irony of this question is that it really only is capable of answering "who makes the most popular cameras?". The only thing that can actually answer this question is spec sheets, and standardized testing. While Canon makes arguably the best lenses, this has nothing to do with their cameras. While Nikon makes great cameras in the most price ranges, and has some great auxiliary hardware, as well as some fantastic lenses, with a long history of great quality, this has nothing to do with being the best camera. Purely from an objective performance standpoint. Also, Sony has made the majority of the top tier sensors and processors in the highest end Nikon cameras, including the D850. So the majority of votes for Nikon actually would go to Sony by definition. Why is there no mention of Fuji, Hasselblad, or Leica? You're taking a popularity vote, and your question goes ultimately unanswered. P.S. Best APS-C Camera, Sony. Best 35mm sensor camera, Sony. Best Medium Format, Fuji. Best large format, Linhof. Best Lens selection Canon(without adapters), Sony Mirrorless(with adapters), and Nikon for people on a tight budget. Best Features goes to Sony, and a gold star for Fuji for including a lot of these as well. Easiest workflow goes to Canon for using standardized formats and providing decent plugins, and multiple card slots in their high-end cameras. Mind-blowing-mammoth king-of-the-world award has to go to Fuji for offering up an amazing medium format, that's MIRRORLESS, with modern features on top!
