I like the one up 3d printer. It has good build size at and quality for $199 and they offer a bigger kit with more build space for $299 called twoup. I think its 7x7x6inches not sure and they both use 1.75mm filament.

In my experience 3D printer kits can be fun and a pain; both in building and getting them to work reliably. I recommend the Micro 3D or Davinci as an easier option. However, I'm not sure but the Davinci may use custom filament boxes and maybe even sizes. Does anyone know about this? the Micro uses 1.75mm filament.
