Hey everyone,
Thanks for voting! Unfortunately, the Sennheiser HD 598 are too price competitive on Amazon and the Sony MDR-MA900 have been discontinued, as Dragonzeanse pointed out.
I really, really hope this will actually happen.
Also, how come the Sennheiser PC series aren't here? I heard they're really good (Disclaimer :I'm an aspiring audiophile)
The Sony MDR7506s are legendary. There's a reason every booth I've ever been in has 6 battered (but still working) pairs lying around.
The Wirecutter's "unanimous favorite" based on extensive comparative listening: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-150-over-ear-headphones/
And they're cheap!
Which of these could I theoretically wear all day without any discomfort or tightness after the initial break-in? I wear glasses and currently use some HARX300's. The sound is lackluster but they are comfortable as hell, so I'm reluctant to try anything new lest I end up with a headache from head tension.
You have no idea how much I want the Sony MDR-MA900s. Too bad they're discontinued.
Why do you keep doing this, Sony? Why do you keep replacing amazing headphones with terrible ones? XB series, Sony MDR-1R, and you discontinued your flagship SA5000. ARGH! What the hell?!
Sony has always done this for as long as I've liked their products. Replaced good ones with horrible ones. Typical Sony fashion.
The MA900's are truly amazing headphones. I'm so glad I got mine before they were discontinued. Rumor is that they will be replacing them with a similar pair soon :)
