Hoping the DX90 drops, I've been hearing amazing things about it. Apparently it blows the x3 and dx50 out of the water and is better than the X5 as well!
I'm hoping for that one too! I have the X3 and while the sound is fine, I'm not a huge fan of the UI. It's also developed a couple quirks where it will occasionally shut off randomly in the middle of a song. It's never a particular song and I've never been able to get it to repeat the error intentionally.
Anybody interest in the Flac(etc.) Music player named IHIFI 960?? I think their perhaps a way if we are 10 people or more to have it at like 335$ (from a China distributor) instead of 385-425$...can be an audiophile portable solution for a very attractive price!! Reply me if seriously interested in this player.
A better choice for who? It all depends of the type of sound you search. Even if both have same dac (wm8740) it doesn't mean it will sound the same. I've owned the Xuelin Ihifi 812 v2, the Fiio X3, the Colorfly c3 and the Hifiman hm601 (wich I listen right now). The ihfi 812v2 was the one I prefer and I regret the fact I sold it because of its very poor battery life (4-6 hours) the sound was rich, deep, clean, very musical,non fatiguing and have no hiss at all, Fiio x3 have the same wolfson dac and it was the one I find the less musical with a cold treble oriented sound and dry bass. I'm curious about the ihifi760 too tough (because of its great battery life), but I dream of a perfect version of the 812v2 and from what I read it could perhaps be found in the IHIFI 960.
Well, looks like ya'll want the X3 and the DX50. Good news is that we can list the X3 fairly soon : )
