I have a Neato Botvac 80 and a Neato XV-21. The model you have chosen for the drop comes only with the blade brush. If you have pet hair or hard floors you really want to have the combo brush. The blade brush is not a brush at all, it's just plastic flaps that slap the ground. It is not great at picking up pet hair from carpet and very loud on hard floors. The combo brush has both the plastic and actual rows of bristles and does pick up pet hair and is quiet on hard floors. The 80 model comes with the combo brush (and the blade brush). The Botvac series is supposed to be more powerful then the XV series. It might be but the way the software is implemented on the Botvac makes it more sensitive to thinking the brush is stuck and it will not vacuum rugs with thicker pile like a Shaw Mohawk shag rug from Home Depot while the older less powerful (and less intelligent) XV series has no problem on this thicker pile. The Botvac series is much quieter, seems to get confused a lot less often, has a much larger dirt bin, and more then double, the battery life of the XV series.
While robotic vacuums are still in their early phases and not even close to perfected yet. Don't expect to drop this on the floor and have it do the room without human intervention. It takes some trial and error to get the vac to operate smoothly, not get stuck under low furniture or tangled in wires, the boundary markers are not so great, etc. Sometimes the vac just gets itself stuck (or at least it thinks it's stuck). There are tons of negatives but I don't think I would want to give them up now that I have them. Two levels of my house gets vacuumed every other day instead of once/week and I don't have to do anything but be within earshot to hear the "I'm stuck" signal. My Botvac vacuums one level of my home, master bedroom carpet, hall and study wood floor, master bath tile, and closet carpet, about 900 sq ft on one charge. The XV vacuums 600 sq ft of wood floor with an 8x10 and 2x3 rug, it has to stop and charge twice to finish this area, some of the extra battery use is due to the thicker pile carpet that this vac has to deal with. I use the human operated vac only about once/month now.
