I have the frist gen moto and the processer is a slow with all the Android wear updates, and I keep having to reboot it to get it to reconnect to my phone
In my humble opinion, the only smartwatches worth considering are the ones running a (mostly) unmodified "Android Wear" OS.
Edit: Yes, others may be compatible across various types of smartphones, but a lot of features would be lost otherwise. Apple users will likely be most happy with the Apple Watch, Android users with an Android Wear watch. I doubt anyone will be as happy with a cross-compatible watch.
Edit: Hoping we see a price before the Amazon Prime sale starts.
I can't believe the LG Watch Urbane wasn't on the list. The price probably won't drop as much atsthe Moto 360, however I can tell you as an owner of the Moto 360 that the Urbane beats it in almost every other category.
Voting Pebble Steel as #1. Cause it works for both Android and iOS so nobody will be left out. Battery life and price are really good too

The LG G Watch R is rated more highly by most reviewers than the Moto 360. It doesn't have that bar on the bottom, and it has much better battery life, according to reviews.
