we need a telescope drop :C !!!
Light gathering is a function of aperture, and tiny scopes won't cut it. Try 6 inches or larger.<br />Also, avoid cheap department store refractors like one of these. They generally have poor optics and crappy mounts.
Great idea since these are pretty expensive.<br /><br />I'm not adding it to this poll, but might there be in interest in astronomical-quality binoculars? I'm thinking of something for a friend who wants to watch the Perseids -- I suppose in 2014, since this drop won't ship in time for 2013's -- so I'd want a wide field, good light-gathering, and possibly a stand.
