1more sent me one for review last week and I dragged it to NY and all around can jam just to show it off. These are ASTONISHING cans for $250 and even more so for $200.
Also they are actually a 2 way active. They count the passive radiator as a "driver". The Ceramic Piezo Tweeter is just enough to make this sound very special. And since they have been tuning them for a year (saw at last years canjam) they are basically amazing.
and a 10k soft Crossover point for the tweeter means it is actually doing something.
Oh and the bass is incredible once you break it in for a few days.
oh and high-gain is recommended. Because inefficient crossover.

I'd totally snatch a pair if it weren't for the fact that the wire is on the right side. Holy HELL, does my OCD kick in...

chuckolatteyeah it bothers me a lot, but after awhile you kind of forget it is there. i really love my pair for gaming and listening to edm while writing. they work pretty well for some metal and rock as long as the source is of good quality

these would have been better designed like the philips fidelio x2. these would be better as open cans imo but philips somehow managed to have more of a bass presence than any open cans (i don't like closed ones--tried the closed version of the audio technica 700 series many moons ago and promptly returned my m50x) i've owned. too bad i broke mine beyond repair. i got the he-4xx and that was a poor replacement.

iFi nano iDSD Black Label. It's an amp/DAC under $200, works with sensitive IEMs and can power pretty much any can upwards of 300 ohms. It'll even push my 4XX and 6XX with plenty of gusto and still keep it all hiss free with my CA Atlas and Shure 846.
It's battery powered but can go into desktop mode and bypass the battery so it doesn't kill its lifespan. There are a lot of other good perks but these are the biggies.

jaydunndidditthis does seem like an impressive unit, having a cursory look at it on amazon. however, i am looking to spend less than $200 and want something much smaller, like a USB dongle. do you know of anything that fits this profile and is capable of driving power hungry cans?

Did 1MORE finally fix the typo on their retail boxes? Do these new units say "graphene driver" on the box?

I just received my 1more Triple Driver Over Ears and the drop says it is supposed to have a graphene driver, but the box I got says it is Titanium. Anyone else have this issue?

JoeyDon63Unless you got the (gold) European version (which is an earlier version and the tuning is different) it's just an old box where they haven't changed the text yet. The silver version has the graphene driver.

its a misprint on the box. they never reprinted the box for the graphene ones. if they are silver in color they are graphene

I hear ya, I have quite the collection myself. It is crazy how addicting it is, I have headphones for every occasion at this point.. lol. Even my dacs and amps are starting to pile up at this point. I am actually gonna pick up a few of these to give as xmas presents to my nephews because they all love mine and have at one time or another asked me for it since I have so many headphones. At $130 I just don't see how anyone can pass them up. Especially if you have the head and ears for it, I still use mine even though I can only wear them in short spurts because how much it hurts after a while. If they ever make this headphone so that it has a larger cup and with less clamp force I know I will wind up with another headphone in my collection. I am starting to think that I need some professional help at this point.. lol.

I'm not much of an audiophile, but my old ath m40x's broke and I was just wondering if anyone could compare these to them. Hope its not too much to ask, thanks in advance. Also, do you 100% need an amp?

REN_dragon_3I would disagree with @motod on the metal part. I bought them for listening to metal mostly and they are magnificent - large sound stage, nice punchy bass, but not too overwhelming. Mids and highs are clear as day. They are low impedance - 37 ohm so driving them should be quite easy. I tried these against M50x and it was a joyless listening session with a very small soundstage.

Voicing on the headphones done by the guy who mastered this grammy award winning music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk2ODNfVeHM
Expect the headphones to play similar music best.
The idea of a 3 driver headphone is rather flawed though. The only other audiophile grade multi-driver over/on ear headphone I have listened to is the Final Audio Design Sonorous (previously Pandora Hope) product line.
The main issue is phasing around the crossover and the modulation distortion that is a result... even though that won't show in most AP measurement plots.
Having a balanced radiator in a headphone seems kind of useless... never seen a headphone driver with a Q over 0.7 before, and I seriously doubt that the LF driver can reach an suitable CX point to a balanced armature if it has a Q that would necessitate the passive radiator.
The only engineering reason there might be for the radiator is to avoid conflict with "prior art" or to establish some level of sufficient novelty from an intellectual property standpoint.

Prolly not. I was just trying to give this design the benefit of the doubt and temper my dire predictions of the shortcomings. I'm hesitant to guarantee they're not well behaved since I haven't heard them.
Re: HPF details, I just guessed based on @ZeosPantera's description a few comments up: "... and a 10k soft Crossover point for the tweeter".

BobthedespotI never believe in dual driver stuff. But if you make that second driver small enough and keep the crossover soft you can do amazing things. If you get a set to try report back. I'd love to know how they compare to your Final Audio's

Personally, I think these are pretty ugly. They look like a hair dryer matted with a car tire rim and this is the result. With that said, all 1More products I've ever heard have sounded great. Can people get past the aesthetics?

I agree with you in principal: sound over form. I just can not help but imagine spinning Sprewell rims when I see these though...

The bumps are actually pretty comfortable...and I have a bald head...its the shallow pads that caused me a little discomfort...my ears constantly touched the interior of the headphone giving me the feel of an on ear...the ear pads are comfortable tho...i just adjust them every so often because of the slight pressure on my outer ear

It is unfortunate that I only joined massdrop today because I just purchased these headphones for 249.99 on amazon. I love them so much that I intend to buy these and return the ones from amazon. They are well worth the amazon price but at the massdrop price they are must haves. Love these headphones and am sure you will too. Edit 1: I still love these headphones and wish I could explain just how good they sound but it is just something you will have to hear to understand. Even with that, there are some flaws that I figured I would share with the community. 1. The headband is pretty stiff and if you have a big head like I do you can expect some discomfort after wearing them for a little while. I am sure that once I have had them for a while this well get better but out of the box... ouch 2. These are more on ear than over ear unless you have small ears. 3. you can not change the ear cups. 4. the cable is very short, guessing about 4.5 feet. Kewl if you are walking around with it plugged into whatever player you use, but if you are sitting at a desk not so good. And no, they do not have nor offer longer ones so you would have to buy an extender or custom cable. 5. This is a plus or a minus, that is going to depend on you and your needs. This headset is a bit on the heavy side, it is a little over half a pound (293 grams or .65 of a pound). That is not normally a lot of weight but combined with issue 1 and 2 they will become unbearably uncomfortable after a while and, if you are doing anything that requires you to be moderately or more active, this can be a problem. 6. I am not sure if anyone else has noticed or have had this problem but my cables are backwards. The left ear cable is actually the right and the right is the left. This is not a big problem because all you have to do if you have this problem is put left in the right cup and vice versa. I didn't realize it until I was watching a movie and the sound that should have been on the left was coming out of the right ear. I then pulled up my player and moved my slider to the right and then to the left and sure enough, the cables that are designated by color (left=white - right=red) were backwards. Now, as I said this is not a big issue, you can just switch them around. I called 1more to let them know and they offered to replace it free of charge. Now for the good things; 1. The sound and range is amazing. I own several headsets that range from $30 to $1800 and I can tell you that without hesitation that I have not tried or owned headsets in this price range that sound better. These are not bass cans nor is it a precision headphone but for 90% of your listening pleasure these are going to give you more range and clarity than anything else you are going to find. 2. They are solid and strong. 1more did not skimp out on any of the building materials. I love the feel of it and while I have yet to do so, am sure that if I were to drop them, they would survive without an issue. 3. I love the look, it is not overly done but definitely not plain either. 4. The best full range headphones I have ever owned, period. 5. Customer service has been pretty good, I have not been able to talk to them when I have called but I did leave a message and they got back to me ready and willing to help with any problem.
Bottom line is this, if you are looking for bass cans, this is not it. If you are doing precision editing, these are not the best you can get (but for sure the best of anything I have ever used up to probably the $600 range). If you are looking for headphones that won't break the bank but will give you amazing sound no matter what you listen to, you have come to the right place.

We for sure have different tastes in sound. The sub bass I got out of mine were plenty for me. I have always found that the deeper you go with sub on a headphone the more you loose on the higher frequency spectrum. Much like the 1mores, they have a great clean range. Only difference is that the L300 has a bigger range over all, at least to my ears. Don't get me wrong, even with my L300 back on my desk I am sure I will daily drive the 1more because I can use a portable dac/amp with it which is just not possible with the Stax. But when I sit down to listen to my classical, or jazz or even EDM I will more than likely have the Stax on. to me they are just that good and yes, that is with the pad change. The original pads I had kinda sucked... lol

ethanchanWell I tend to be treble sensitive and I have tinnitus to boot, and can hear up to 17k so I'm picky with what I listen with but I listen to pretty much everything. I've been influenced by jbl l112 speakers my whole life. For example I do not like 7xx m1060 or shp9500 for treble issues. I own he560 and find them to sound airy but not unpleasurable like the others etc...
