Has anybody used any of iFixit's kits to dismantle or repair hard drives?
Would the magnetic bits fuck with the data on the hard drive???

ShalakazaamYou should pay a professional for data recovery, it's super easy to fuck up and once you do the data is gone forever.

ShalakazaamA lot of them need to be repaired in a completely sealed off room. a single bit of dust will destroy the drive. Hard disks are VERY complex nowadays. Go ahead and take them apart, but dont expect it to be working afterwards.
