If you have more than one set of keycaps (and who doesn’t?), you probably need a place to store your extras. This fullsize keycap holder provides an ideal storage spot for up to 108 keys Read More
Thank you very much for the time and effort put into this. It is this type of response (good or bad) that renews people's faith in MD. Even if it won't fit the SAs that well, it looks close enough for other key sets so I got 4 of them. I hope future offers will have a slightly taller design enabling the use of all keys.
For pees that are having issues with crazy shipping costs, these are readily available for around the same price (maybe a dollar or two more) with free shipping on those Chinese auction sites like banggood and dhgate etc.
Only thing is that they dont seem to come with the dust cover, but ymmv. Still, If you want to save some money...
EDIT: Seems that Banggood doesn't have these at the moment, but Aliexpress, eBay, and DHGate do. Just do a search. All under $12US. Most under $10. But non have the dust cover.
strange, I saw them when I googled earlier, but they arent popping up for me either. But yeah what kakihara said. No cover from the sites that do have them.
btw- ebay has a bunch of them too.
Since the problem with the Box stems caused me to lose trust, can I get a measurement of the stem size / width?
Mounting caps for display should not break them and I really want to like this product but am a little worried.
tw000Did a Google search for "stemshaver" and found the thread. Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I think the concern of deformation could be alleviated if they were looking at compatibility with all switches, but I see you need to make it work on box switches since that is the originating problem.
i love you man! thanks for the inspiration with the ikea skadis thingy! <3
i have thought about doing this kind of thing but wasn't sure about what to use.
Great! Every keycap display case on the internet is perpetually sold out. It's an incredibly underserved market. I have a lot of kits with a lot of child kits each, and I'll need a fairly large stack of these to keep them all organized.
I've really been wanting something like this! Although the cover here doesn't seem like it would be able to house SA keycaps unfortunately. Also lacks rows for the alternate layouts like my other keycap set holders.
Thanks for explaining where to view the cover. I'm on a laptop and nevertheless thought the cover shown was just some kind of artifact on that image. I was imagining a soft cover like a bag, but the cover in that image looks like a hard cover.
Could anyone please confirm some details about the cover, like whether it's hard or soft, the level of transparency, and the material?
GotEmAllThe dust cover on them is just a flimsy piece of plastic and doesn't actually clamp onto the bottom case. As a result, the plastic can move around quite a bit and it might not be best to stack things on top of it because it's not that secure and would probably bend easily. Each keycap holder w/dust cover comes packaged in a black rectangle box so it might be best to put them in that and then stack those on top of one another if you do end up buying.
