kossykossThe lights aren't on and nobody's home at Massdrop - I dropped them an Email on the status of the drop and it seems that they have no further info themselves.
The Rep did tell me to refund if I couldn't wait though, so there's that option.
These are fantastic shoes, they usually last me about 2 years for disc golfing, keep my feet dry and are light weight. They are still usable after two years, just not optimal due to wear on the sole. Even after a couple of years they maintain their water proof qualities. Great hikers and all around outdoor shoes. Wasted on pavement or cement.
Hey Massdrop my buds, I know the last email said something like "if theres a delay more than 30 days we'll let you know" and its only 23 days at this point. Maybe I'm jumping the gun. But uhh what's going on with this drop? Is it shipping any day now or whats going on? I really really like these shoes but if this is one delay of many, then I'd really appreciate knowing that as soon as possible.
jdpman81Yeah, this is definitely my last drop. Still haven't heard anything other than "if you'd like to cancel your order let us know". No honest answer on whether or not the shoes will ever ship. Seems pretty scammy to me.
If Adidas continues to fail on their end of the deal. Why keep offering their products?
And the new "Drop" format doesn't really imply things are getting any better.
Would really like a drop for Terrex shoes without the Goretex liner. I value being able to have my footwear breathe properly, and dry out quickly if they do get wet, over having waterproofness that stops just under my ankle.
RockyMountainsI picked up a pair of non-GTX last year here. I found them sturdy, stable, light and long-lasting. They held up well on a wet Camino Primitivo this June and would have dried overnight had the humidity not been in the 80-percent range. (They dry overnight at home in western Canada where the humidity is usually under 40 percent.)
At a glance, I'd say the key differences to the Moab 2 would be:
Continental Rubber (I am obviously biased, but I find Conti to be the softest & grippiest rubber around), we mimic tred from their mountain biking tires
Upper Fabric - We used a closed ripstop mesh upper... Compared to the moab, it will be a lower profile and most likely keep a bit more sand out of your shoes
Quick-Lace - Kevlar sliding lace closure system (can be swapped out for regular lace)
Having a pair of these is wonderful. Got the saloman's and when it finally broke i went for these. It's great for my feet shape. (wider mid-foot) Same type of speed laces which is secure and easy to tie/untie. The laces are tough and abrasion resistant. Seems to be made with reinforced nylon over fishing line or something. When my current ones die off i would get in this drop. Night cargo / black is the way to go.
LOL. I didn't want to sound like a salesman though i once were. Save some money on the non goretex version, come back and get these when you like running in the rain.
For the love of gods can we do a non-GTX shoe? When backpacking, shoes will inevitably get wet, and GTX shoes take forever to dry out. Now that we have all stocked up on GTX dayhiking shoes can we throw the backpackers a bone? Altra please (no RSM, no Neoshell) :)
