Used these 4 or 5 times. Battery life started out at a miserable 3 hours and now only lasts maybe an hour. CRAP.

Currently as of now, I cannot recommend these headphones if you sweat moderately. For normal listening you shouldn't have any problems at all. As a runner these headphones died on me after the second run and do not work anymore, and these headphones being sports headphones it is very disappointing. They cant withstand sweat unlike my prior JayBirds x2 's.

This is from personal experience, I run and do weight training and I sweat a lot more than most people I would say. Maybe it could have been the charging port was exposed, but I am just saying they aren't nearly as sweat proof as my previous headphones. I am more than open to say my case could have been an anomaly.

anthonydvivesWell i can attest that they do survive sweat, lots of sweat, i mean a lot.
could yours have died because you're some freak of nature and sweat way more than being drenched at the end of the workout? sure
maybe it was a defect and allowed sweat to get in the housing, or maybe user error.
it will survive sweat though, plenty of it. ADV would probably replace it if it didint though, but who knows if ADV will replace any units purchased through massdrop.

Any more feedback on these? I'm looking for my first pair of decent eardphones under $50. Looking for something that I can wear in the gym. Wired or wireless and most like in ear.
Can't go wrong with either. The additional versatility afforded by the MMCX connection on the Model 3 is a pretty awesome feature though.

TheContraptionistThanks for the reply! I went with the Evo X because I will be using them in the gym and the model 3 isn't designed for heavy activity and it isn't in stock until May 5th. I purchased the Evo X straight from Advanced sounds though.

When they worked, sounded great. All 5 times I used them!! Died sent them back. Got another pair and they won't synchronize with my phone. Tried several other phones. You get what you pay for!!! Got a set of Bose...twice the cost ; even better sound, much much longer battery life and they stand up to my sweaty workouts.

GeodHi Geod, I've sent an inquiry into your issue to the customer service team. You shouldn't have any issues connecting Evo X to your phone. If you haven't done so already, try draining the battery, fully recharge and pair again. You have to long press the power button to put Evo X in a pairing mode. -Peter

GeodBose has an awful freq response curve with scooped mids. I never had problem with mine syncing to five different devices over the year plus I have owned these. YMMV

Hmm, mine isn't able to pair to my google pixel. It should be really straight forward, but it's just not doing it...it can't find the device when bluetooth on my phone scans.

I just bought these and received them today in the mail and they are very clean. They look great but also function well. The pairing works super well and very easy to do (less then 1 minute or so). The buttons are even in a nice spot but can be in the way if you are switching the ear tips because you'll be putting pressure on the unit. My favorite thing is the strap on the back to keep them from being loose so they will never fall out or lose the clamp pressure. The sound is neutral and clean. The bass is there but might be lacking a bit since you can still hear a lot around you. If you listen to a lot of hardcore, metal, these might not be for you (Every Time I Die, Beartooth, TDWP) . If you listen to clean vocals, rap, hiphop, or instrumental music, these will work great (Pink Floyd, Aesop Rock, Run The Jewels, Childish Gambino, Takenobu).

SlobloI cant say since I just got them today and only tested the sound on different artists. I can say that out of the box mine took about 10 minutes to charge, but I'm going to guess that they were charged some bit before that.

MrGReeeNI mean, maybe I was just trying to give some helpful information in an update for others to see what I actually experienced, considering I could answer my own question before anyone else had...nah that makes no sense. I obviously was trying to gain some massdrop comment karma lol
