Almost ready to fly, the MXS-R airplane has long been a star of the Red Bull Air Racing Series. And now, after a redesign, it features a number of improvements over the award-winning original. It’s not only more aerodynamic but more rigid torsionally, as it’s made with a carbon fiber-reinforced frame, Oracover skin, and carbon fiber firewall. And thanks to new side-force generators, this aerobatic plane performs slow 3D maneuvers even better than before. Drop in the engine of your choice—either an electric engine or a 20cc to 25cc gas engine—and you’ll be ready to perform tail touches and torque rolls with the best of ‘em. Engine and electronics needed for completion are not included.
