I'm 6'8" 380. The struggle is real finding most things my size. People make things for short fat people or tall skinny people. However, tall fat people are a thing. Will the max fit my needs?
FatboyIKEI’ve received shipping confirmation email today around noon and got it delivered 20 minutes later ^^ (It was actually shipped on Tuesday). Happy with Pro so far.

Generally speaking, I don't comment on the competition or on posts such as yours where you are obviously a very well informed consumer and share that knowledge fairly with others.
But I do sometimes post to clarify facts. A class 4 gas lift, by definition, is rated to 150 kg of weight support, or 330 lbs. The DX Racer Boss series has a class 4 gas lift. You don't need to take my word, it says it openly in their specs. So, it presents possible issues for the Boss series to support someone over that weight for the long term. Despite any other features they may have included to optimize the chair for big and tall. The gas lift is not rated for it. It is not DX Racer's fault, class 4 is the best quality gas lift you can source in China and it is very good. We use them on every chair except the Max.
There is no such thing as a "class 5" gas lift. Now, sure, you may be able to use a class 4 gas lift for years without a problem even if it is out of spec, that is normal. Out of spec does not mean an automatic fail. But we went to Korea to source a custom built heavy duty gas lift that is truly rated to 185 kg, or over 400 lbs. To the very best of my knowledge no other chair company has taken this step. So we can rate and warrant the Max for 400 lbs.
AKRacingAmericaThanks for the info. I see where DX Racer has a "recommended weight" and a "weight capacity" and I took the "weight capacity" to mean that it was able to hold that much weight or rated to hold that much. It never occurred to me to research the gas lift. Btw, this AKRacing MAX is an amazing chair. I'm loving mine. Thanks again for the extra bit of info. I'm sure that'll help more people. ^_^
That feeling when you are working so much that you miss the drop. I hope another drop happens soon. I love my AKRacing chair and was hoping to buy another one for my office.
I received and assembled my chair and everything is perfect. The depth of the seat is not an issue at all.
I did have a question about warranty and which invoice are you referencing in your statement above "You will only need your invoice from Massdrop in order to gain service." Is it the email notice of purchase? Or a physical invoice that was sent? Because I do not have a physical invoice in the box.
ssardar169On your Massdrop account click on the 3 dots next to your picture in the top right hand corner. Then choose transactions. You will have a list of all your purchases on Massdrop. Then click on your AKRacing purchase. That is your invoice and proof of purchase.
