Has anyone had problems with the buckle tarnishing? I have a brass buckle that is badly tarnishing. And only worn about 10 times. Love the belt but hope this isn't an epidemic issue.
treeinc Hey, solid brass does tarnish, that is just the nature of brass unfortunately. However, unlike rust, tarnish is very easy to remove. You can polish that buckle to a bright shine in a matter of minutes with a cloth and some Brasso polishing compound. You can also make your own polishing compound with lemon juice and baking soda.
Also, often times, just wearing your belt keeps it from tarnishing because your clothing rubbing against it throughout the day keeps it polished. It is most likely to tarnish if you let it sit for an extended period of time, especially if it is in a damp or humid environment.
Hope that helps!

AmericanBenchCraftWhat is the Army surplus duffle like? I see there are only 10 for sale. Is that all that was made?
treeincYes, that is all we have right now. They are made from genuine military surplus, not the knock-off stuff, so we only get these when the surplus becomes available. The duffle is awesome though. It was originally made for carrying the body armor kits so it is super heavy duty and the leather handles and accents we add really make for a cool looking bag.
