The brand is a virtual unknown but the quality and value for money is A++, nice and heavy feel, excellent bracelet, decent automatic movement the only downside is the luminescence, excellent daily wear watch.
Update 1st purchase on drop.com in Dec 2018 for $169, this was good, liked it and bought a 2nd one Nov 2019 for $255.00 from www.Audazwateches.com, sadly the quality has gone down considerable, flimsy bracelet, lighter weight overall and just not the same feel, I cannot recommend this watch now...
Just got my Reef Diver (Pepsi bezel with a blue dial) yesterday. I like almost everything about it. It is heavy, big, and solid feeling on my wrist. The case and case back look great. I love the signed screwed down crown. It is not wobbly whatsoever. The bezel clicked nicely and has very little slack. The band is solid and sturdy. I removed 3 links and set the micro adjustment to the last hole and it fits me nicely (I lie a snug fit). The seconds hand sweeps smoothly around the dail as expected. The date window is big enough for me to see clearly without glasses on which is a gripe I have with more expensive watches I own. The hourly indices are raised and attractive.
A couple of things a don't like hence the 4 star rating: 1. I wish the clasp had a push button release. It is just a snap together clasp with a fold over safety lock which is a little stiff to snap closed. 2. The Lume could be better. It's a dive watch so it should have better lume. I don't dive so that's not a huge deal breaker at the price point offered here. 3. It's got a high profile on the wrist. It's the thickest watch in my collection. I might be an issue when it comes to wearing long sleeves but I live in Tampa so that shouldn't be too much of a problem most of the year. Lastly, when removing the links, one of the link pin sleeves came out with the link pin. This is a hollow tube that goes in the link so the pin will insert straight through. Not a big deal since I removed the link anyway but it seems like a bit of a QC issue. I am not sure yet about the power reserve. I only wore it for a few hours yesterday and it was stopped this morning when I went to put it on. I'll have a better idea in the next couple of days.
I really consider the negatives minor issues with the clasp being the biggest disappointment to me. Overall, it feels good on my wrist as I love beefy (but not oversized) watches. I glad I picked it up for $179. I hope this review helped.
I have received my watch yesterday. It is an amazing timepiece. Bulky, a little bit heavy and with great quality.
Edit: After wearing this watch daily for almost a week I must say that the Seiko movement has been calibrated perfectly. It is running no more than 2 seconds too fast on average per day. I set the time and date only once since I got it. Another watch that I have with the same NH35A movement is running 20 seconds too fast daily.
I got the aluminum dial with Pepsi bezel. The watch feels solid and weights, well, as much or more. Sapphire crystal and helium release valve are really great to have at the $179 price point. The NH35 is a reliable workhorse, so I don't expect issues with it. The looks are great too.
As you can see from the pictures, even at 45mm, it's not a bad fit for a 6.5 inches wrist.
I gave it only 4 stars because one of the link pin sleeves came loose when I resized the band, so there is a bit of a QC issue there.
Aestheticly large analog numbers, hands & face to see. Only draw back is the luminous markings are lacking in staying bright for a short period of time, then fade to black. Audaz should invest a better luminous paint.
A great watch for the price!
quality is high.
size is yuuge.
so, why not keep same quality on finish and material, shrink it to 40, and put a 4R36 in it.
NOW you have a perfect diver.
I love it, especially the diver’s hard hat logo at the back of the watch. I was a navy diver and have some diver’s watch collection and this watch is the only one with hard hat logo suited for diver taste.
This watch is truly an incredible value. I took it to a jeweler to have my bracelet replaced with a strap (it's hard to get to the bars on this model, but NBD), and the jeweler loved it as well. It feels much more valuable than what we paid.
