I currently am using a Sound Blaster X G5 for my PC, would this be a substantial upgrade in sound quality over it? Volume is not an issue. I exclusively listen to music of all genres on my PC and do a lot of gaming, non FPS. For headphones I have the AKG K7XX, AudioQuest Nighthawk, Philips Fidelio L2, AKG K550, ATH-A900x and a V-Moda Crossfade M-100. My ideal sound signature would be "fun" "exciting", not sure that I am overly fond of a warm veiled sound. My Nighthawks seem a little too warm and smooth for my tastes at times.

RamboneThat's really funny, I also have Sound BlasterX G5, V-MODA M100s, and AKG K7XX. I hope someone answers your question, as I too am curious if this would be a significant upgrade.
