Aliexpress so expensive because less seller there, so yeah less competitive. It's same group but also not at the same time. I don't know how to explain.

Well, I created an account on Taobao and all that. But I can’t even enter a shipping address. (As you can see I have already clicked “Translate to English”)
Don’t be discouraged though. Please do share tips like this in the future. We need more people like you in a community forum like this. Thank you once again.

Follow these steps : 1. Go to main site https://world.taobao.com/ 2. Hover mouse to your account name the click ACCOUNT 3. Shipping Address 4. Fill 5. Tick "Set as default shipping address" 6. Save

mrbinaryWell, I do need to enter my actual number as part of the shipping information. The local courier here in Dubai calls my mobile phone to arrange delivery or pickup.
It will be same drop down menu (without UAE as an option) later on. I mean after I make the payment.

1. Include your actual phone number on your shipping address
2. Add a side note to the seller when making the payment to change your invoice contact number.

What do these two options mean? (refer image)
1. "I will contact the seller sent to overseas shipping address"
and
2. "anonymous purchase" (this I can uncheck)
Nothing happens when I try to uncheck #1, other than a cat and a ball of yarn for a second. If I leave it checked I am taken to the Credit Card number entry page with CNY 1199 (i.e. shipping is not charged). Where do I choose "Direct Delivery" as you mentioned earlier?

That's different shipping program than the taobao global shipping, which I don't recommend because it can be extremely expensive. Just stick with Direct Delivery program by Taobao.
2. Anonymous purchase means your name will be censored when you leaving a review/feedback on that product. If you see in the review section, most of the buyers' names are censored and has ( 匿名 ) next to their names = Anonymous

Your name still on the shipping invoice if you select anonymous. The censored name just for review/feedback.

GreatMagicianDid you un-check "I will contact the seller"? If I understood @themrbinary correctly, you should un-check this box to have shipping included as part of your order. If not, you pay separately for shipping on later date when the courier contacts you.

What I can conclude for your situation is, your country doesnt support in Taobao Direct shipping service. Thus, you need to use third-party shipping arrange by the seller instead.
Need to contact the seller right after you send the payment for separate shipping charge.

FireCogaHow do you know Taobao is legit? The same way you know the item sold at Massdrop is legit. Read customer reviews (translate to English), see pics uploaded by customers.
@themrbinary doesn't gain anything from spending so much time in helping out people who don’t want to wait 10 weeks from today for their delivery. Look at his comments, with detailed screenshots I might add. Do you have any idea how many hours he would have spent on this discussion alone?

kokkatYou can contact the seller by clicking the blue bubble shape head icon. Leave them message about this. To see if they can ship to you bypass the system. Previously, I did contact seller to ship to USA but not this item. It was a SONY PHA1 from a different seller. Since I went home this winter break. So it was shipped home(China). I do recommend you go for S7. It is a better amp than X7S.

As for the second question, not really, I don't go shopping for audio stuff very often, but buying online is usually cheaper than buying from stores here.
